Swedish progressive melodic death metal act In Mourning have dropped today the first song from their upcoming album, Afterglow, named "Below Rise To The Above". In Mourning - Reveal Details About New Album

Swedish metallers In Mourning have revealed new details about their upcoming fourth full-length album. The album will be called Afterglow, and is due to be released on May 20th through Agonia Records. The artwork, which has an epic doom feeling to it, has been designed by Kristian "Necrolord" Wåhlin, who has previously worked with bands such as Bathory, Tiamat, Amorphis and Dark Tranquillity.

In Mourning - Join Agonia Records, In The Studio

In Mourning fans have waited a while to hear new updates regarding the new album the band has been working on. Today we finally have news about the next chapter of the band. Sweden's melodic death/progressive metal masters are currently in the studio working hard on the successor to their 2012 much-lauded offering, The Weight Of Oceans. After the release of that album, the band parted ways with founding drummer Christian Netzell in 2014 to later be joined by former Katatonia drummer Daniel Liljekvist.

In Mourning - Reveal New Drummer

At the beginning of the year, In Mourning announced the departure of drummer Christian Netzell, who had been with the band since the beginning. A few days ago, the Swedes introduced the new member of the band: their new drummer is Mattias Bender. He is their new full time drummer from now on. Mattias joined the group for the Trondheim Metal Fest and will be joining them as well to continue work on the new album.

In Mourning - Drummer Christian Netzell Leaves The Band

Just three months after announcing that they're back in the game, Swedish prog/death metallers In Mourning have parted ways with founding member and drummer Christian Netzell. The reason for this sad departure was stated to be "mainly due to musical differences" and there are no hard feelings whatsoever. Mattias Bender will replace Christian as a stand-in drummer for the upcoming live shows.

Brutal Assault 2014 - In Mourning, Krabathor And More Confirmed

Czech Republic is getting ready for another Brutal Assault next summer and the first few bands have been announced. The latest batch of bands includes one comeback. 30 years since their establishment, 17 years since their last appearance at the BA, the only show this year, Krabathor is back. Brutal Assault confirms the legendary death metal band and the other confirmed acts are British metalcore band Bring Me The Horizon and Swedish progressive death metal band In Mourning.

In Mourning - Working On New Material

Two days after sharing a mysterious photo that seemingly reveals pre-production material on their Facebook page, the Swedish prog/melodic death metallers In Mourning officially announced that they're working on a new album. According to their statement, the band had been on hold for almost a year due to "family issues" but now they're back in full force.

Swedish progressive melodic death metallers In Mourning have revealed via Facebook the artwork, release date and tracklist of their upcoming album The Weight Of Oceans. The album is their third, it is scheduled to be released on April 18th and was recorded during late 2011 in the Abyss and Black Lounge studios in Sweden, again together with engineer Jonas Kjellgren. The cover art was created by Kristian Wåhlin.

In Mourning - New Album Title Announced

Swedish metallers In Mourning have revealed the title of their upcoming new album: The Weight Of Oceans will be the follow-up to 2010's Monolith. It was also announced that the album will be issued next year by Spinefarm Records.

The band posted on their Facebook page: "We are proud to announce that our new record will be entitled The Weight Of Oceans and that it will be released in 2012 by Spinefarm Records."
